Hi, I need a tow bar for my Octavia 2014, any ideas, thks .....
I got a Haymann Reese one installed on my 2010 Octavia last year and am happy with it. The place I went to (Mr Muffler in Prahran) also offered the OEM version (from Bestbars). More info in my post here:

There's a couple of towbar threads in this forum with other links - there's one bunch that does the Euro style fold-away towbars but the name escapes me.

I used to think I was anal-retentive until I started getting involved in car forums
$1195 including wiring, installation and their "Full package" - hitch lock, premium towbar, spanner. It took about half a day to do. They quoted me $1445 for the Bestbars version (no cutout needed on the bumper), including the same package. This was last year, so prices may have changed, and there may be some differences with your MY14 setup - my car doesn't have reversing camera or rear parking sensors, for example.

It's my understanding that the OEM Skoda one will be released some time this month. Probably by Best Bars, whom produce the others for the OZ market.
Fitted my own (excellent threads on Briskoda). I bought the bar & wiring kit from Iron Bull in Brisbane and Jeff (owner) gave me help when the wiring didn't look like what it should have. It's a Euro bar, no cutaway req, removable neck. I think I paid $670 all-up. He fits for $350 and travels the cities fitting for major VAG and Merc dealers, so knows his stuff.

Ordered 07 May 14 (Wk 15), Built Wk 37, Loaded 27/9 (wk 39), Docked 12/11 (wk 46), DELIVERED! 12/12 (end of wk 50 - 7 months + 1 week).
That is a cheap way to get it done, think i will do the same if I can find one down in Vic.
