Some features I will be happy to see in the new octavia range!

I have been looking at the CZ website for the new Octavia Combi (wagon) range.
There are some great features that I really hope they make available for us here in Aust!!!

    Electric opening / closing tailgate
    Panoramic Sunroof
    Adaptive Cruise

A feature I really hope is not standard:
    Electric Handbrake.

I just hope we in Aust dont get the 'dumbed down' range....

I really want the highest end headlights!! (Duh)

Panoramic sunroof should be awesome... And the adaptive cruise would be so handy (for me at least)
The electric tailgate is more a gimmick... But very cool, especially on the Superb!!

    +1 for the panoramic roof!

I am hoping for a next generation head unit with a MUCH MUCH faster interface, DAB radio and genuine HD graphics.

Rear seats that fold completely flat in the wagon and a Mazda 6 style rear cargo blind that can relocate to the folded seats with a secondary netting that acts as a cargo barrier would be good too.

Nah, I had a Passat loan wagon once for a week, and it had the electric tailgate! It was so handy when carrying boxes of gear for my work. All I had to do was let it open for me...I didnt have to put down all the stuff, esp if it was raining, and open the tailgate etc...

I think it is a great feature for those who carry stuff all the time.

I just wish the feature like the Passat CC is available where you just wave your foot under the rear bumper to make it open...

Also making sure you're standing well enough back for the tailgate not to give you an uppercut on the way through!!

Hear hear. You can add a lot of those electronic options aftermarket if required.

A Haldex equipped vRS though, thats what would really do it for me too.
