Carpoint's review of Mazda6, Honda Accord, Ford Mondeo, and Skoda Octavia it shows that the estimated resale after 3 years is not that different. 61% for Mazda6 (best in class) vs 56% for Skoda (approx equal to Mondeo).

So, about $2k-3k over 3 years. Makes me feel that if I can get the cost of a Skoda RS with some accessories close to a Mazda6 then I am not going to be financially too far off.

Also, Mazda are likewise cursed with high servicing costs!
