So you're the reason Renault had to quit the US are you?

I was actually working a AMC/Jeep/Renault dealer. At the time AMC (the then owners of Jeep) and Renault were tied up financially some how. To be honest I would have trouble picking which of the three brands AMC, Jeep or Renault had the worst quality but I suspect it wasn't anything made in France and wasn't a brand that is no longer available.

Anyone having "saw toothing" drama's on the inner edge of their rear tyres on the vRS?? I have been checking the Briskoda forum and it seems to be a rear camber adjustment problem, and I just ha d a look at mine at a little over 14K on it and yep, I have the same problem. bad enough to make the rear sound a little noisey . (I'll take pics soon )
Will be taking into a suspension or wheel business to get a full 4 wheel balance & alignment with full suspension dimensions checks carried out. Will let ya's know what I find.

Your going to be hard pressed to get an alignment problem fixed under warranty. They ll argue you ve hit a large pothole or similar and altered the geometry.

this is a well documented issue that Skoda are very familiar with. I thought that they had sorted it out. Skoda changed the rear camber values on rs models back in 2007 to fix the previous issues so I am surprised it is still causing concern.

We are talking about rear camber issues which are not something that can be knocked out easily unlike front alignment which I would expect a dealer to refuse to look at under warranty.

    see attached thread
I thought the problem with tyres 'stepping' would be sorted on FL vRS - BRISKODA.net - The Skoda Forum and Community

If you shout loud enough you will get it looked at under warranty. The

Yep this issue has been covered under warranty, I'm surprised you saw it as well, I thought it had been fixed back in 2007?

I think the camber problem was "fixed" in 2007 but you never know...... Dunlop tyres?

Yes i had a 535i back in the late 80's with tasty italian wheels , sold them at a premium before i traded it , to a dude with dreaded metric wheels on his 535 , what was bmw thinking , stupid french .

My daughter had a couple of those nasty fuego's back in the ninties, she loved them , pretty good handler , but the rest was crap , you could watch the interior decomposing as you drove it .

I've not seen it on my late 08 RS but it has Michelin pe2s and has done 27k, I think it happened more on dunlops and directional tyros.
