    Skoda RS Options

    Hi Guys,

I am looking at getting an RS Petrol DSG Wagon shortly (well at least ordering one then waiting ages...) and I wanted to make sure that I am not missing any options that are factory fit that they have not documented on their literature.

So from the RS Brochure I know these options are available (and dealer prices for these options):

    Xenon Lights ($1490)
    Fog Lights Corner Function ($240)
    Sunroof ($1730)
    Front Parking Sensors ($490)
    SatNav ($2590)
    Alarm ($540)
    Leather Seats ($1490 I think)
    MDI ($240)
    Metallic Paint ($630)
    Bluetooth-Dealer Fit ($630)

I would love to have seats with memory function ($1370) but cant be done - dont know why... can be done on the standard version of the Octavia...

And Park Assist would be cool feature to show off... but can only get that on the Superb by the look of it.

    So am I missing anything???

    thanks guys.

    ..schneller..

Yeah weirdly enough when I was thinking of waiting for the update, they did say initially that the interior update and then full update Octavias would have the park assist....but then they didn't

I beleive you have left out the seat heaters....personally I think it sucks that they still sell the RS at the same price but dropped the heaters and alarm off.

Hmm weird, it was gone from the brochure for a while, but seems to be listed there...but in the pricing on the webpage heated seats is there...might be a mistake.

Heated seats were an option on the pre-FL but standard once the leather options came in on the FL ones, I believe...

All the new vRS have heated seats standard.

As far as the MDI is concerned be aware of one trap. The MDI for $240.00 is just the interface connection in the glove box. You still need to buy a cable to connect the MDI to your device. There are four different cables available (iPod, USB, AV, mini USB). The cables cost about $100 each from the spares department.

The Xenon lights are only Xenon on low beam.

The corner function on the fog lights is a bit gimmicky. The only practical use I can see for it is if you are navigating tight streets slowly at night (I mean European tight not Australian tight). It's fun the first once or twice they work but after that I stopped noticing them.

Park Assist is one of the scariest things I have ever used on a car and I've driven some scary cars in the last 35 years or so.

I have a 2007 RS-heated seats are standard on it. Only in the front though. I don't have park assist though-I figured I'd been driving this long without it so could probably keep going.
