I thought the magazine was good. A little disappointed by the program required to flick through it - its pretty clunky. I doubt thats a Skoda thing though, probably the marketing company they use to do the website.

I would be quite happy to get it in PDF format, hell, they should just use a converter to HTML and make it a link on their website.

It's a standard Flash animation which is common for on line magazines and catalogues. If you go to JB HiFi or Teds Cameras or Jaycar you will see exactly the same format used for the web versions of their catalogues.

I agree I'd rather have a PDF I could print if I wanted to.

I filled in the details for the owners portal thingy and have a user name and password. I can log in, but it just takes you back to the screen where you can update your details. Guess we will have to wait and see how it develops.
What I wouldn't mind on the site (or at a dealer for that matter) is some merchandise. May be a shirt or a hat or an umbrella so I can piss the subaru one off.

I really love the magazine and the survey afterwards. This is the care from Skoda that I've been wanting . Good on them I say. I'd love to see more, and more, and more!

I went to sign up for the owners portal and they are asking unnecessary personal questions. Why on Earth do they need to know your driver's licence number and your date of birth just to view a magazine? Seems a bit intrusive to me.

I don't believe that the magazine is on the web site at all. The owners portal is something completely different and I suspect that one thing you may be able to do on it when it is working is check records of your vehicle in which case they need to make sure that the people who have access to the site are who they say they are.
I also thought that the questions are intrusive but if there was some explanation of the site and what the features and benefits are then the situation may change.

If anybody wants the magazine PM me their email address and I will use the "send to a friend" feature like I did with Jake.

I think the magazine is a good move to build up a sense of community for us as owners. I do my onw bit of searching online to find out the latest news, but it is a good move for Skoda to put it all together for us.

But like others, I hate the presentation (eg. animated page turning) and it's impossible to read on a small screen (laptop) without zooming in and then losing other features. A simple PDF would do the job.
