The film they use was fine, the end result would be OK. I did plan on getting them to include it, but they made such a fuss about the price I wanted, and I needed to get back to work. Rob Tait uses decent film but most likely won't touch my car so after someone who won't disappear overnight and uses good quality film, will need clear on the sides and back and most likely clear on the sunroof unless someone knows it is already UV protected? I didn't get our current RS roof done but its a lot smaller than the pano wagon roof.

I was told the sunroof is UV protected, and the guy that did my tint said they don't tint sunroofs (problems in the past with tint causing them to crack).

Pano roof is ir and UV protected. Already tinted as well.

Expected discount is 6-10% for most people. I got about 9% iirc which was pretty good.

I think the new dealer that opened just up the road to me probably would have given me a bigger discount, but they are still an unknown to me, I got about 8%. I can tell you they will not negotiate with the care pack included. I had to settle for just the 2 yrs warranty extension on it's own. Makes sense as the servicing alone just about adds up to that price. If you can get floor stock with the finance to include the carepack it would be a great deal, but I had to order mine being a manual. I also wanted a Jan build which made things trickier. Ended up with Blue RS with black pack, tech pack, manual, pano sunroof and auto tailgate with 2 yrs extended warranty.

You'll be very happy with that.
I didn't bother with extended warranty as ACL covers you for major stuff anyway (engine, gearbox) - because no 'reasonable' person would expect running gear to fail within 5 years if services as per manufacturer guidelines.

I say it all the time, but IMO pano roof is a must have option on the wagons. It's so big, open, usable and just plain awesome.

Agree GTR. I have my blind open all the time. There is no glare (during the Melb winter ! ) and it's a great option. I had the big sunroof in Subie Liberty previously and the glare was much more noticeable than in this car and reflected off instruments, glasses, head etc. Once I tinted the Subaru it was good.
The vRS pano roof has more tint and UV than my previous Subaru. I dont intend to get it tinted.

Well done Woofy. Hope deliveries are better now ! Was interested in how Eastern were going. Did they talk you through service there ?

I didn't end up getting it at Eastern but the guy there offered when the time came to do a good deal he offered the same car spec in my15 sitting right there with dsg for the price of a manual. Richmond knocked $200 of a total price of 39k. So I had a battle from the start.

I reckon Eastern would have beat them easily but not sure and servicing there is a question mark for me. They do offer the Skoda finance deals there though which Richmond doesn't.

We just picked up our 2016 and we paid the 2015 price which worked out to be over 2k price difference which we are happy with.
