Could be fun to watch. I hope it doesn't go the way of the guy who rolled his Ferrari one year, sent it back to Italy for a complete rebuild then rolled the same car in the same place the next year.

It's not usually outside Tasmania at least. Coverage is usually limited to anything bad that happens making the news and limited highlights on programs like Sports Tonight or RPM (does RPM still go to air?).

Yep used to be shown on RPM, or just before, no idea if that still runs, I hardly get to do or watch anything these days with a 2 yr old around the traps. People do notice who is entering the Targa though, so it will at least have the "What the hell is that" factor. The MPS 3 has had pretty good press from entering each year and it has worked well for Mazda.

MPS 3 is entered again this year. They have a black/dark grey and orange paint scheme. It looks crap!

    There's even a diesel powered i30 racing in 2010.

Anyway, hope the Skoda goes well, it certainly has the power and pedigree to surprise a few people who won't know what the hell it is.

So how many Targa's has the Editor in Chief of Carsales done?? Why not get a more well known and reputable driver to pilot it around Tassie to give it a chance to do well in it's class. (not saying that they wont do well, it's just that I have no idea of their ability as a race driver) I'm sure the car will perform well, lets hope the driver and Nav perform well too.
Hopefully they will think about running this car in the Bathurst 12 hour next year and see how it holds up there for reliability.
