Do any of the gents above who have installed the Jetex exhaust still frequent the forum?
If so, can you please confirm that you got the stainless steel half system (40-H9DR) as shown on the Jetex website?
Whoa thread revival ...
Anyone get a Jetex cat back recently ?
It's for a 1Z Octavia VRS FL here and looking to get some more noise out of the car (want deeper grown and DSG pops) and it looks like this is the one that fits it ... approx $1,000 delivered from the UK
Anyone know how much the APR cat back costs nowadays ? The AU website has changed slightly

The APR gear is horrendously expensive. You would be nearly twice the price of the Jetex if you went with APR.
Your other option would be to have one of several well known custom exhaust shops in Sydney make a custom catback for you using stainless pipe, mandrel bends and good quality mufflers like Mangaflow. Then you can choose your tail pipe design too. This would be cheaper than the Jetex system (probably around $800 if using good quality mufflers and a resonator in stainless steel).
Are they are pretty good with swapping over resonators / mufflers too until you find something you like ?
Edit
Found this pic from another thread...
Have we got 2 mufflers or is the centre one a resonator ? And ... which would be better to piss off to get some DSG pops happening (with no drone, ideally).

The little round one in the picture above is a resonator. You can see how much smaller the aftermarket one is compared to the factory exhaust. Most people remove the resonator to give some extra DSG pops, but just bear in mind that removal of the resonator can result in droning which is rather annoying.
