    Skoda Octavia NSW Ambulance

This morning on my way in to work I saw an Octavia in Ambulance livery. It was an operations control vehicle. Didn't get a chance to get the phone out to snap a pic of it, but it looked very European

Probably on loan or "sponsored" by Skoda. The Ambulance and Police down here in Vic do it all the time. They get an extra vehicle they don't have to fund and the car or motorcycle company gets a bit of publicity and has the vague hope that the service may like the vehicle enough to buy some.

Most likely to carry the guards to provide the security for medical staff in the field.

    Possibly a rapid response vehicle.

They can also come in the form of Subaru Forresters and Mitsubishi Outlanders.

I've seen a few around. They're usually Scouts. Ambulance Service NSW choose Ĺ*KODA Octavia Scout 4X4 DSG

Aha well spotted. Could well have been a Scout, easy to miss the plastic guards with all the glaring flouro to distract you. I only had a fleeting glimpse of it through an intersection.

There is usually one parked at the Penrith Ambulance station. There's a Forester or two there as well.

I first saw one down in Goulburn back in Feb 2010 and posted here somewhere about it. Didn't realise that they had many more, although I have seem in the Blue Mountains and even have a pic somewhere of one at the Summer Hill base early last year.
