    80-100, is that ever enough?

    So I called in there today - not what I was expecting!! A prefab building on blocks behind Mazda with some signage on a chain wire fence (apparantly they have a workshop with a dyno too)
    Inside was full of new & used parts for all sorts of euro cars - spoke to the tuner guy who is going to get back to me with options on down pipes & intakes etc
    They have a few tuning options but have a special on revo this month $1124 with a dyno run - normally $1495 + 395 dyno
    stage 2 tune is an additional $395 much like APR (but they offer a free tune if you fit their down pipe - well over 2k)

    Euro Tune on the Gold Coast APR Stage one $1795.00, Stage two $395.00

    V A Garage on the Gold Coast offered Blue fin @ $1250 + $120 upgrade to stage 2

    Yet to call in & see VA Garage in Cleveland - another member here rated them highly & they seem pretty well priced
    Also want to check Bayside Performance as they do a heap of vag cars & possibly Harding Performance in Coorparoo (they just did a car in Motor Mag Tuner shoot out)

    Looks like I will need to investigate the air box further as most of the stage tunes even in stage one will max out the flow rate of 300bhp

    Just got an email from them, I asked the same questions.
    I don't really have the cash now or want it just yet, but its a hell of a saving aye!

    The prices are below:
    $1099 - old Skoda
    $1129 - new Skoda.

    They also recommend a DSG map upgrade, the guys at VA Motors offered this

    Your tuning options are:
    ECU Stage 1+: AUD1249.00
    Combo stage 1 inc DSG Stage 1 tune: AUD1799.00

    ECU Stage 2: AUD1399
    Combo stage 2 inc DSG Stage 2 tune: AUD1949
    The above prices include the Uniconnect+ flash cable/system

    The hardware:
    I can offer you the Unitronic downpipe however due to the cost of shipping and customs it takes quite a while and is around the AUD1500 mark. Alternatively we can get you a custom made one from Australia. Specs: 3" diameter, T304 stainless steel, 200cell magnaflow cat converter. This would be AUD899.00
    Unitronic carbon air intake kit AUD750

    I'm hoping to catch up with Ilidchen at some stage as he has had the airbox & stage one done from them

    They describe the other stages as well. Pistonheads.com is a well-regarded site so I value their opinion.

    Aside: I noticed in the second link (for the serial port switch on Euro Car Upgrade) that they're offering to turn off the stop/start feature for $299!!! If that's how they operate then I'd want to bargain hard on anthing they offer.

    There is also SpecTune which is a Brisbane base company, they were affiliated with Bayside at one point but I'm unsure if they are now.

    VA Garage on the Gold Coast provide exceptional service. The owner, Adam, is a great bloke and he is probably 1 of 2 that I would leave my car with and feel confident that I'll get the service I've paid for.

    Harding Performance provide great service as well. They use to be an APR dealer but have since switched to Racingline products. I believe Prestige & Performance who are up the road from them are now the Brisbane APR dealers.

    Also looking into JB1 now which also seems a viable option JB4 to be released early next year and understand I can tweek as required via dyno tune once all bolt ons fitted

    What sort of power do you get?
    Did you dyno it?
    Did you get a cable?
