Yes mate, after market Golf R 18"
Changed low beams (H7) and side/parking lights to Phillips Blue Vision Ultra.
Comparison with stock Osram's (right).

Close up after finishing the passenger side too.

Not that much difference overall, just looks a little less yellow. Definitely not a completely 'white' or 'blue' output.
Yeah I did the same thing
While it's not ultra white it's much better than stock (yellow)
and should be easier on the eyes during long night time drives
I like that install too..
Did you make a custom box or is the the sub mounted on a mdf carpeted panel?
I have a 12" response sub at home from my old commodore which i have been meaning to put in (even bought hi quality H/L converters from the US) but havent yet due to being too lazy to make a custom box!
Not really the modification, but it looks good.

Cheesy,
but i like it.
Almost got my GTI brakes in this weekend... until I realised that my car has 50mm struts in the front... could have sworn it was 55mm.
Anyhoo, here are pics of the re-colour coded GTI brakes to suit the marque:

Anyone else with base model octavias wanting to upgrade brakes - your parts list will look something like:
> GTI/TFSI/VRS bearing carrier
> """ caliper carriers and calipers
> Set of four brake caliper carrier to beairng carrier bolts (you wont have these!)
> Bearing kit is a good idea
> new shocks/front struts with 55mm body's
Awesome! Can't wait to see everything put back together.
I reckon those would look real nice behind your wheels gldgti
Thanks mate - yeah I'm hoping once I get it all sorted with the rear calipers colour coded green aswell it should look great (especially rolling!)
