You all know the next Octy and Superb designs are done right and that this is pretty much the first views of what they will also be like. The team doing them all are Audi designers and so you are going to see some design cues there, but Audis are consistently good designs, so it can't go far wrong. From Matthew Weisners descriptions of the new models (Audi conservative with Skoda influence) you can pretty much see what he is on about here as this car pretty much sums up what he said.

Wonder what the interior is going to be like? Speaking of which has VAG got a new replacement for the RNS510, its getting a bit long in the tooth now......especially the navigation side is pretty poor.

Likewise the MDI interface which needs to be killed asap in favour of standard USB.

I think VAG are trying to get away from this, what with Euro7 being their target for models coming out in the near future and even tighter standards in the next 10 years.

Same with "SUV's" - its going to get pretty difficult to make big heavy awd vehicles meet the new standards and also get out their own way.

lightweight cars FTW - Incidentally, considering the amount of space in the current Octavia, I think cars around that size are the new big cars for VAG - like the jetta 6 - spacious without being cumbersome.
