Skoda Day

Anyone else attending skoda day in perth on the 17th?
Sounds like its going to be wheel spinning good, hmm gotta turn off traction

Nah, the drive across the nullarbor is too boring for me and not good for running in a new motor

And with current fuel prices it would probably be cheaper for me to just hire a track for a day for myself here in Canberra.

What's on the agenda, I heard you get to wear out Skoda's tyres, not your own ? I wonder if they will do a NSW/ACT day as well ?

Not sure about wearing skoda's tyres out, no mention of that, just bring yourself/car/closed shoes/ and license. Be good if they did supply tyre's.

Somehow I had the impression they were supplying the cars (hence my comment on wearing out Skoda's tyres). Obviously I was wrong.

Can't go due to work, unfortunately. I thought they were supplying the rides, as I specifically asked about this when the drive day was first mentioned? - but then I've been out of the loop since saying I couldn't go. I definately wouldn't be going if I had to use my own tyres - anybody priced those Exalto's yet? -eek! There was a bright yellow RS sedan with NSW plates on, parked in the corner of the workshop at Osb Park VW a few weeks ago, which made me think this was perhaps one of the press cars to be used for the drive day.
