Also check your manual to see if anything needs to be done at that particular interval (does the Skoda service manual show this). At least you are armed with info.

I spoke to Adam @ Trivett Parramatta. I asked him repeatedly if $460 covers EVERYTHING and he kept saying yes.

Re. the Service Schedule book - I had a brief look, it seems to just have a generic list with checkboxes for the mechanic to fill in. Haven't found the recommended/required action items for each service yet

Sorry mate, mines a vRS ... mis-read that bit somehow that yours is a different model ?!?!

But same price and I got the standard oil and filter change + mandatory tyre kicking service ....

It's all at the front of the service schedule book in badly laid out lists designed to confuse people.

NB: Nowhere in the service schedule does it say to change the fuel filter. If it hasn't been done by a conscientious mech yet then get it done.
There are a lot of "check this, check that" items. The stuff that needs to be changed is (this is my schedule - some is more than, some is less than Skoda Service schedule:
Oil + filter = 15k
Cabin filter = 1 year (skoda = 2 years)
brake fluid = 2 years (skoda = 2 years)
Air Filter = 45,000km (skoda = 90k km??)
Fuel Filter = 60k km (skoda = no period specified)
Spark Plugs 75k km (skoda = 60k km in the workshops; 90k km in the service book)
Manual Gearbox oil = 105k km (Skoda = filled for life)
Coolant = 5 years (Skoda = ???)

The reason its the same price as a 15K service is because its same job. It's just an oil & filter service and a check over.

If it had a timing belt, you'd do that as well, and pay accordingly.

Petrol Passat, and probably Superb as well, don't have a replaceble fuel filter. Everything else, both petrol and diesel is every 60K.
