I feel your pain, mine was off the road for 1 month waiting on a manifold pressure sensor, which when it arrived was marked with Audi logo and part number. but at least i was given a brand new superb 4x4 to drive

It's a petrol RS. There's more than 1 of these for sale in dealerships in Brisbane, never-mind throughout the country.

Someone in authority should have calculated the down-time for the customer, the cost of hiring a car for 3 weeks, versus the cost of labour for a mechanic to open a bonnet, rip out a couple of hoses, put them in my car & return it to me, then refit the hoses when they finally arrive on the slow-boat from overseas.

Economically and customer-service-wise, it's a more appropriate response to this situation, when they couldn't GUARANTEE that the hoses would be air-freighted from overseas within a couple of days, instead of weeks on a container ship.

How did you score a new Superb?

All Skoda offered me was a hire car from the local company..... which is a crummy Kia Cerato!

I don't disagree with you but I was actually referring to this comment:-

UPDATE: 07-Nov - YAAAAYYYY.... Car is fixed finally and back in my possession.

You can't imagine how much I was grinning like an idiot once I got back into the groove of driving it and gave it a little boot here and there. SOOOO much better than a Kia Cerato!

I can only hope the warranty issue is now all sorted and finalised and I can get on with owning & enjoying my RS

Skoda owners should *always* wave, regardless.
