Scouts only to buyer order & new ScoutFive & ScoutSeven

When I was talking to the dealer the other day, he was trying to convince me to buy a Scout (not a bad idea actually).

Apparently Skoda are only bringing in customer order vehicles (no more floor stock) until the new model comes out next year (??) in the form of ScoutFive & ScoutSeven. I assume this means a 5 seater & 7 seater model. Can't quite see how they will package a 7 seater but look forward to seeing it.

They're doing a 7-seat Octavia? I know that Skoda are pushing it up in size to accommodate the Rapid but I didn't think it was going to be that big!

I wish they'd hurry up too, the new model is needed...

My Octy was floor stock - ie: it wasn't an order.

The dealer at Narellan had a Scout on the floor (possibly 2 as I think there was one in the corner waiting for PD.

Sillyboy: They'll bring them in as a confirmed order.

Jake: Dealer didn't know if the Scout7 was a seven seat but logic says it would be..... maybe.

The dealership I mentioned in another post, whilst looking at a Yeti with a cousin, had 2 Fabs, 2 Yeti, a Superb and 7 Octavias. They've always had Octavia stock (the only one they got correct early on). I'm sorry if that was sarcasm KIWI, it probably is.

By the way (off-topic) I sat in an MY12 Octavia RS with its new fully black cloth/alcantara with red stitching seating and carbon fibre-look interior trim. It didn't look that nice in pictures but in person I was quite impressed. The only negative part for me is that the soft-touch rear door trims of my car don't feature and they still haven't put rear cup holders in (but don't let me start that argument again...). And that you can now get it in bright green :O .

And Brad, fair enough. I hope it's true. Another USP for the Octavia would be great. (Y)

    Had like 3 Octy's, 2-3 Superb's, 2-3 Scouts and like 4 Fabia's/Fabia-MC's at the tiny little combined Peugeot/Volvo/Skoda dealership.
    Seriously, more Skoda's than Volvo/Peugeot's.

Haven't seen anything on new Scouts with that naming, but is there a possibility that the Superb Scout mule form a couple of years ago may come out as the Scout 7, with an Octy based Scout 5?

I was thinking something like that.

I can't quite see how they could package 7 seats into an Octavia with AWD unless they raised the roofline.

I was picking up some parts from a dealer service dept the other day, and happened to overhear the girl at the desk tell a customer that there are no tiguans in stock anywhere, order only.

Just around the corner, at the VW dealership (same dealership, different department) there were like 5 tiguans in the yard for sale.
