    RS180TSI Horrible Spec

He guys, so I over the Xmas break my RS162 was stolen. Therefore I have been looking at a new one to replace it.

A quick scope of the MY19 brochure indicates Skoda have drastically stripped out the equipment on the new RS180 TSI car.

    Missing stuff includes;

    Columbus nav,
    Parking sensors
Climate control (even the base cars get this but not the RS apparently)
    Rear seat airbags,
Cornering fog lamps (probably can be coded)

Additionally, none of the Tech or Lux packs are avail on the new car either.

It seems for me I will just have to go for an RS245 to get the spec back to where it was (though, annoyingly, no leather is available)

But I thought it was interesting that they have a new 'Base' RS with less equipment than the 110tsi I also have in the family.

Bad luck about the stolen car. I'm guessing apart from the inconvenience you will also be out of pocket.
What was the price of the RS180?

That is **** luck! I'm just wondering how a modern car gets stolen with immobilisers at whatnot? Unless it was towed away. Hope insurance sorted everything out.

As for the RS180, I think that brochure you are looking at is all wrong. Go to a dealer to check out and ask.

Columbus nav, - Absurd that even a MY15 RS162 has this and the MY19 does not.
Parking sensors - Configurator says basic package of RS180 includes "Park distance control"
Climate control (even the base cars get this but not the RS apparently) - Ditto configurator, "Electronically controlled air conditioning system" , assume that's climate control.
Rear seat airbags - yet on page 10 it says "†Rear side airbags are available on the OCTAVIA with the optional Luxury Pack. Rear side airbags are standard on the OCTAVIASport and OCTAVIA RS models"
Cornering fog lamps (probably can be coded) - Ditto configurator, "Dynamic headlight range control, with cornering light (AFS 1)"

They broke into my house and took keys. Thankfully, they left my Audi. But, took two of my mates cars also. All round **** experience.

Columbus nav, - Absurd that even a MY15 RS162 has this and the MY19 does not. Agreed
Parking sensors - Configurator says basic package of RS180 includes "Park distance control" Rear sensors only
Climate control (even the base cars get this but not the RS apparently) - Ditto configurator, "Electronically controlled air conditioning system" , assume that's climate control. it isn't. RS is the only model to miss out on the dual climate now.
Rear seat airbags - yet on page 10 it says "†Rear side airbags are available on the OCTAVIA with the optional Luxury Pack. Rear side airbags are standard on the OCTAVIASport and OCTAVIA RS models"it also says they are not avail on P34
Cornering fog lamps (probably can be coded) - Ditto configurator, "Dynamic headlight range control, with cornering light (AFS 1)"That is the headlights only. Not the fog lamps
    It is all very interesting.

I was wondering this too? How do modern cars just get stolen, when immobilisers are factory fitted?
(Not having a go at the OP..... sorry to hear of the incident)

Is it a case of these keyless-entry sniffer devices being used in Aus now?

If you look above, he says how, house breakin and they took the car keys and some others. Thats pretty much how most cars get taken now, often when the person is home.

Looking at the brochure right now it looks like the RS169 seems to miss heaps rather than the 180. You can't even spec the lux or tech pack or adaptive dampers on the RS169 any more

Looks like we got in just in time with our MY18 169 wagon with Tech and Luxury packs.

Aren't all the RS' 180 now for MY19? just the RS has the choice of opitioning everything into it and the RS245 has most of it included. So you can effectively get a poverty pack RS right through to an all bells and whistles version.

Yeah. Due to Euro compliance only the one driveline is offered in the RS now.

The RS180TSI and the RS245 (same motor and box)

The difference is in the spec. The 180tsi no longer has the option of the tech or lux packs, and has a bunch of other equipment missing.

The 245 has a lot of it std, but you still have to option the luxury pack and the car is much more expensive.

Just something I noticed when looking at a replacement.
