    RS or VRS

    why do the press keep calling it "RS". When I look at the ass of the car it clearly says VRS there.

    Its an RS, Skoda just call it VRS in some countries where RS is a trademark, I think Ford had the rights to it in the UK? They pretend the V isn't there in other countries.

    Am i correct in understanding that 'RS' stands for Rally Sports? and the 'v' is for 'victory' - for Skoda's long heritage is the world of rallying?

    Where I work at RS stands for something totaly differant.

    it's vRS hence the nice V before the RS on the badges.

    If you look closely at the badges, particularly the door sills and steering wheel, it says VIRS.
