Got into the car on Thursday, started it up and a lightbulb symbol appears on the rev dial (which I know to be the lights aren't functioning properly) and consequently checked them, of which results were found (left brake broken). Impressed me immensely. Then turned it on on Friday and a message now comes up 'left rear brake light not working!' Luckily, the car is only 498km off it's 30,000km service, so it'll be replaced them (and that's only a week or so away).
Coming from a Jap car, I never knew this sort of convenience existed!

I had a 1990 Mazda 626 eclipse that was fantastic. It told you whenever there was a light globe out...and I loved those wanky oscillating air vents
I searched long and hard on the new car market and found that even some new cars didn't have the features and comfort that my old Mazda did...then I found the Skoda![]()
also tells you about other lights - I've a read number plate light that needs replacement/fixing
My Elegance also tells me about the trailer lights - that's some pretty cool 5h1t right there
Although, I understand that this is common through out the VAG range.

Our 1978 Toyota Corona import had an "OK monitor" that would tell you when your lights were out. It had a dot matrix display that said "brake lights" or "rear light" (the number plate) etc.
Also told you a few other things but I can't quite remember what they were.
Mine's been saying "Check front right indicator" and "Check front left dipped beam" for weeks, now.
Waiting on a new body control module from Skoda. Should be arriving tomorrow, actually. :S
