looks nicer without it I think. I dont mind a nice boot spoiler but that one just looks a bit weird.
Just keep it in the garage and come resale time pass it to the new owner if they prefer the look of it.
I decided to take the spoiler off the Octy this morning and take some snaps with and without to get an idea of how it would look.
Taking into account cost of filling holes, loss of originality when sale time comes (moot point??? Skoda will have schite resale anyway...) and risk of reducing difference between RS and bread and butter models, is it worth doing? Does it look better?
FWIW, I like the look more. I have never been a fan of the rear spoiler look unless its one of the boot lip spoilers like the ones on the BMW M5. This is also an option down the track. Some companies do aftermarket ones.
Apologies for the pics. My phone aint great.

Im sure you can purchase a M5 lip spolier of flebay and make it fit.. they make them in carbon now, but think a c/coaded one would look better!
i ran one on my bmw e36 and really brings the rear out nice and classy![]()

Not sure why you think Skodas will have bad resale value, having had two Mazdas (still own an '06, mazda 6) and using them as a pretty good benchmark as they hold ok. I compared what the resale was on redbook a year on, and Skoda was doing better.....admittedly there are hardly any around to buy used, but therein lies an even better reason why its likely to be worth still a reasonable amount. Any car company that doesn't do fleet sales generally do ok. VW by the way, do offer fleet discounts, so aren't a good reference point.
As for the spoiler, yeah I do prefer the lip style but its not so bad.
Just calling it as I see it. Its an unknown launched in the midst of the financial crisis. Seat resales were appalling. They still arent well known as a junior VW, so the VW resale factor hasnt hit yet. I reckon it will take at least 10 years for resale valuations to level out close to VW ones. Too late for me.
As for the spoiler, I like it without. But if it costs schit loads to fill the holes I wont bother.

Looks "cleaner" without, and probably imroves rear vision too![]()

definitely WITHOUT. it' too small across the back of the car and looks a bit silly. if you can get a small boot lip spolier, definitely get onto that, they make any car look awesome. a bit of lowering and a boot lip spoiler =
nice RS btw!
