Well just got the following response from Eibach "The Eibach Pro Kit is not intended for towing purposes."

So there goes my efforts to use Eibach springs to lower my vRS.

What does that mean? That makes no sense. Plenty of folk at Briskoda have Eibachs & tow small vans, etc

Yeah surprised me, also considering Skoda released the Eibach's as a factory option in Europe/UK. But just to complete the picture as to Eibach's response above, here's the question I asked them.

"I regularly tow a Jetski with a fully loaded wagon, so will these springs handle this additional load travelling at speed (100km/hr) on the highway on the stock vRS dampers/shocks?"

I don't really think I can proceed now can I? Where would I stand with my insurer if I installed them and then had an accident whilst towing.

Does any one know the load rating of the stock OEM vRS wagon springs including force displacement characteristics? Or point me in the direction of where I could find this info please.

The last time I needed info like that (for a Subaru) I had to pull springs & get the spring maker (K-Mac) to test them for me. Pedders would be able to do the same thing.

Put the call out and see if any other forum members up your way have a set of vRS wagon springs you can borrow to get tested.

You should also be able to work out the spring rate by measuring the wire length and the wire diameter.

Why so set on Eibachs? Get some locally made coilovers

    Suggestions?

I'm not after a big drop. The 20mm quoted by the Eibachs would be ideal for me and I can get them cheaper than a good set of coilovers. I've just heard good and bad about coilovers, particularly the cheaper ones, hence don't know which coilovers to really go for and don't want to spend alot of coin for 20mm drop. Also note I tow a jetski hence the limited drop and don't know if coilovers are up to the task (safe at high speed) of towing.

    try BC-Racing or Tein

There was another mob I found the other day - can't remember the name though. Micheal somebody - he used to do a lot of rally stuff -esp Subarus.

Have you looked at H&R or KYB springs?
