im about to buy one for my toyota prado yes it does replace the number plate globe holder.
Any tried or looked at one of these. Currently on ebay. I think it goes where the number plate light is.

Go for a CCD camera, the cheap CMOS sensors they use are useless in day as they flare and at night they suffer from poor performance. CCD cameras are available in the same housing but most of the ones on ebay are CMOS. PAL cameras are better for many reasons but mainly because you get higher resolution.
