BOSCH, Century Batteries. The BOSCH is my choice no1.
The factory car battery has finally died (not holding charge) pretty good as its an '08
Can anyone recommend a good replacement brand or type?

Yep, spend good money on a quality battery...no compromises, as it is a vital component that you want to work ALL the time properly.
Good brands will also have a replacement warranty too I think...
I never understand those who are tight with purchases of batteries....

Expensive, but if you buy one get the one that has the same Ah capacity as the one in your car. Otherwise it may not last.

There's a recent battery thread here where some options and prices are mentioned.

Every Battery stocks Varta & the price isn't overly shocking for the quality.

Ours is late 2008 (built april), it seems the odds are it will go soon. Is it worth being preemptive? Our 6 we just got RACV to replace it and was quite good and onsite.
