Rattles?

I wouldn't hesitate to get the 90TSI. (Well I would from a power perspective...). My 118tsi is built rock solid with a high quality interior. I drove mine through miles of country dust over easter and from this no squeaks. I do have a rattle now comming from the interior rear seat light cluster but I suspect it is a loose light globe.
I think the very keen pricing on the 90TSI is hard to turn down yet they are still a quaity car.

The only noise I've got in my vRS wagon after 40,000km is the left rear door creaking as you drive across steep driveways and the like. Isn't there some Silcone stuff you can rub onto the door rubbers to get rid of this noise?

Gummi Pflege is the best stuff. Silicone works for a while then the sound comes back again.

Yeah my dash squeek is back as a very faint whisper. I used silicon spray in the first place and had read that its not a permanent solution, but this time I think I might take Dru's advice and attack that loose screw. Rock solid other than that in a year and 15k km.

Bringing this thread back from the dead. Ive had my Octavia for about two months now and all is great except on the drivers side of the dash (around the top, behind the speedo stack) I get a kind of clicking/rattle sound when i go over some bumps.

If I push down on the area there is some flex and the sound goes away for a while but comes back again later. Has anyone else experienced this?

Found a couple of other little creaks lately. One is the arm rest on the drivers door. If I side my elbow onto it, it creaks...but not that big of a deal. Other than that, my handbrake lever button rattles every now and then!

I have a little creak at the same place, armrest of the driver's door. I also have another that I have not been able to pinpoint. When I hit some bumps on the road, it squeaks like a spring, but not on all bumps. Seems to be on the passenger side...

My sound comes from the driver's side sill. If I rest my elbow there, there is a sort of 'drumming' noise - but I can just as easily rest my elbow on the armrest in the door.
