    test it out. I think it backs off a bit.
    It would be cruel to use the dawg as a crash test dummy but if you've got kids there's an hour's pleasure trying it out. Start with a newspaper, then try & convince one of them to put there hand in; gradually change body parts until they try with their head (if you put your hands either side of the head it doesn't hurt too much ).

    I have done this by mistake on a mate of mine.
    I decided to close the window using the auto up without him retracting his hand from outside the window and shortly after i heard some very loud screaming and the odd occasional swear word. During the resulting debate after my mistake he assured me that the pressure that it places on the obstacle before it backs off is significant. We did have a bit of a giggle when we got home and let everyone know what had happened and was able to show the bruise across the back of his hand.
