Thought it was time for a long overdue update on fuel economy.

After 2 years, almost to the day, our Octavia RS TSI wagon is now averaging 9.95 l/100km (worked out using actual fuel in when filling up / km's travelled).

I've noticed the fuel usage figure on the dash display is about 0.7 - 0.9 l/100lm out most of the time

    Still averaging 6.7 over 80,000km
The larger diameter tyres & a further tweak with VCDS has made the dash readout match the actuals.

Coming up for 2 years and around 42,000km and sitting on 6.6l/100km over the life of the vehicle which means I've pumped some 2770 litres of mainly BPs best diesel into the little flap at the back but I still can't figure out where it leaks out all the time.

Average over 4 tanks of Caltex Vortex 98 is 6.9/100 with around 70% of that being morning and afternoon heavy traffic.
