That's for the RNS510 based Columbus, not the Discover Pro one. Try following the info here
Nav Companion
If you have google chrome it'll translate it for you, if not the click on the one of the 1 2 3 images and the the 4th tab on the pop-up has an animation.
Also you can click the orange button and upload tomtom etc. POIs and the website will convert it you! This is great since trapster.com supplies super up-to-date POIs for Tomtom and Garmin for free.

Edit: Briskoda have a good guide if you don't have google chrome, just use the link on this page since there's is an old one.

readerorr - thank you again - you know your stuff.
I managed to navigate through above links and have now been able to load all the cameras categories onto my gps unit.
scary stuff.
one more question - how do I get the all the camera POIs displayed on the unit. I can see they are there under my personal poi's and I can see how I store each one individually but how do i store the lot in one fell swoop so they all display on the map.

Skoda and VW Europe are great since a lot of the manuals and whatnot are online.

I think page 55 is what you want?

i found it under navigation/map/update POI categories.
apparently only 10 categories of POI can be displayed so it was a matter of deselecting some and adding others more useful to me including the speed camera categories.
thanks for your help

I think I might be missing a step. I've created a directory using the confusing german webite and the info from trapster. How do I upload it to my head unit? The SD card doesn't trigger an automated update when I pop it in. When I go into the nav settings and try to update my personal POI manually it searches and finds nothing.
menu/ settings / system information / software update
the system will search for an update on sd card and if found will apply update.
you then to do post 5 as above to display

I cannot for the life of me either get the German VW site to work, or even the Skoda one with the map portal has one as well. It seems to spit them out in entirely different files. Either putting the folder or the files directly onto an empty SD card comes up with nothing in the update POI search. If I put music files etc it sees them fine.
I uploaded safety camera POIs tonight to my MY16 Scout.
I used the german VW Nav Companion site to create the POI files.
Nav Companion .
After selecting your POI file to upload, don't forget to check the box in the next section - "Bei Annäherung an diese POIs informieren", if you want to have a warning sound when near your POI
After a few unsuccessful attempts, the trick is to first unzip the file created by the VW Discover site and then copy the PersonalPOI folder (with sub folders) and the metainfo2 file onto the root directory of your SD card or USB stick - see screen shot.

Yeah that's what I did. Many times with no luck.
