Hi,
Just took delivery (finally!) of my MY 16 Style Diesel with the 19" rims and P Zero tyres. Apart from on course chip I think they are actually a fairly quiet tyre, of course this is just my impression from 600km of driving. Ride comfort in the Style with the 19's is pretty good, way smoother than an RS that I test drove with 18's.
Cheers,
Karl

Can anyone tell me the tyre placard pressures for the 19in rims? Since my car didn't have 19's from factory it only goes up to 18in. I did ask the dealer who said 36-38 psi. Cheers, Karl

Thanks for the information. When I checked them they only had 30 psi.

The most noticable noise I get from mine is if I have the moonroof shade back or the luggage compartment cover not closed. That fills the cabin with more of the outside noise then Iv noticed from the tyres.
How are peoples tyre wear going with either the 19" Pirelli's or 18" Dunlops (?)?
I'm a relative newb to the Octavia section of the forums but a respected friend in suspension repair business warned me about Octavias chopping rear tyres prematurely because the alignment would be out from the factory. Has anyone else heard of this issue in relation to either Mk2 or 3 Octavias?
I wasn't able confirm with him whether it was only in relation to solid or independent rear ends, heavily laden or unladen cars.

I saw it mentioned here and there with the facelift Mk2s but never saw it on my pre FL Mk2. DIdn't hear about it again after a while so think it was a batch issue.
Utter nonsense
My MK2 Octavia has 86k on the clock with no rear tyre wear issues
I changed the rear tyres to my preferred tyre choice at 14k - so I've now done 72k on 18" Michelin PS3's
My rear PS3's are about 50% worn through and have a lovey even wear pattern
A friend with a MK2 Octavia and 19" wheels put 180k on the car with no abnormal tyre wear
