Passenger side interior door handle broken

HEY GUYS, had a mate in the car the other day, they didn't realize the doors automatically lock until you stop moving. As he tried to open the door, he pulled too hard and broke the handle. Well not the handle itself but I'd say the cable that actually opens the door. Anyone know the approximate cost of fixing this? Would I be better getting it done through a local mechanic or genuine Skoda?

Well firstly I would disable that "Feature" My father was nearly killed in a car that had that when it was hit right where the controller for auto door lock was. Consequently he was injured and no one could get the doors open. I know they are supposed to unlock in a crash but obviousy with the control ruined they didnt.

Was the first thing I disabled when I bought mine.

Not hard to get the door skin off and have a look at whats broken

Might be harder to get the skin off mates walllet to pay for it LOL
