Is the paint job normal?

Hi guys,
I picked up my new Octavia RS on Saturday and it wasn't until I drove it home that I noticed that the paint along the bottom of the car seems rough like orange peel.

Is this normal? It looks like they forgot to smooth it over?

Pretty sure it's normal, designed to survive road debris on a constant basis.

Fascinating clip. Would've loved to have seen the robot that stuck that strip of masking tape on!

Was obvious how little sound deadening is on the doors, no wonder they sound like an empty oil drum when you tap them!
