One month service/check up from dealership

    Hi everyone

Does anyone know what is involved in a 1 month service/check up from a Skoda dealership?

Wondering also what costs are involved.

    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for the quick reply!

So was it more just a check up then?

    No oil change or anything?

Also give you an opportunity to have any immediate concerns addressed.

The whole thing isn't endorsed by Skoda, but it.comes.out of the dealers pocket.

Correct - tis a dealer thing, not a Skoda thing.

If you ask for it during the contract stage, you can get some extra stuff, but its prob in the price of the car....

I had a 'free' oil and filter at 1500km as per contract, along with a 'free' compression test from New (10km) and 1500km.

I was poised to take mine in for the advertised 1 month +/- 1000km check and was advised over the phone it wasn't necessary and was a mistake.
I was advised that they had changed the oil and filter...

    No issues so far.

We do a 3,000km check as a courtesy for the customer. Not necessary, nor required by Skoda (a lot of running in is done at the factory anyway) but its just one of those little things.
It gives you a chance to point at things and say "it doesn't work" or "this smells funny" or "what does this button even do?!" etc.

Yeah neither dealer I have had here in Melbourne did it. I even asked why there wasn't one when I got my first Skoda and they said don't change the oil until 12mths/15k as it's better to leave the run in oil there.
