Oil sticky

MY10 RS TDI had a "Skoda recommends Shell products" sticker just under the bonnet, so I'm using VW507 spec Shell Helix Ultra Extra. costs between $75-85 per 5L bottle depending on where you shop. Oil filters you can buy for $18 each

This is what I based my oil purchase on as well-my 07 model has the same sticker. Mine wont go service to service without a top up at about 12000km. It's just coming up for it's 60000 service now so should be well and truly bedded in-I guess it's just a TFSI thing.

Castrols site was playing up and mavericks list doesn't have it but doing a google search showed up that the slx professional oe is a newer "topshelf" oil so I'm guessing it's ok and is maybe just newer than the LIII that most places mention?

I've replaced my old oil page with a new one, no need to open pdf's anymore but searchable and sortable tables make it easier to find oils. Up to date as at last night with Volkswagen's data.
