Off road driving mode for MY16 Scout?

I'm currently over in the UK walking the Pennine Way and have noticed that there are is shortage of Skodas on the road over here. Looking at the Brit online forums I've noticed that the MY16 Scout now comes with an Off Road mode in it's driving mode selection menu. I have a Scout 132TSI on order and will pick it up when I return to Oz in late September. I know that it's a MY16 model so am wondering whether we get the same inclusion in Oz spec vehicles. Does anyone have the heads up on this as it's not mentioned in the spec sheets. Could it be possible that with the imminent arrival of the Golf Alltrack could the fine people from VAG be deleting this option to keep a gap between the Scout and the Golf?

Either way I'm looking forward to parking one of these in my garage in place of my now departed Renault RX4.

The demo Scout I took to the snow a few weeks ago (135TDI premium I think) didn't have the driving mode selection at all... Looking at the options list it seems to only come with the Tech Pack.

    Here's what it is:

Could be achieved by a software mod via VCDS or partially by a Haldex controller like these:

'How does it work? By pressing the ‘off road’ button on the dashboard, the driver can activate many useful functions that make manoeuvring in difficult terrain easier. This is primarily involved in setting off/traction, breaking and downhill driving. The off-road mode works at speeds up to 30 km/h. A green control light illuminates on the dashboard when in operation. The off-road function is automatically deactivated at speeds over 30 km/h and the green light goes out.
The ASR off-road, EDS off-road and traction functions improve the acceleration and traction performance of the ŠKODA Octavia Scout. The ASR off-road traction control makes setting off easier especially on loose surfaces like gravel or pebbles. With the help of the electronic differential lock (EDL off-road), the force is distributed optimally over all four wheels even in difficult situations. The electronic traction aids uphill starts when driving in the mountains or when a trailer is attached. This includes limiting the revs to 2500 rpm with your foot to the floor. When activated, the Hill Descent Control System makes braking downhill safer – both forward and reverse – on snowy or high-incline roads or steep slopes.'

From what I hear over here (UK) it's now available in the Scout via the touch screen along with the other driving modes, eco, normal, etc and works by adjusting steering and accelerator inputs. The button on the dash thing is a feature now found in the Yeti.....I think!
