octavia wreckers? lower hex-hole front grill of FL octavia vrs

My lower grill has a fist-size hole punctured through it because someone with a towbar reversed into it at some stage in the last year.

Is there such thing as Octavia wreckers in australia? if so, anyone got any URLs or numbers to call?

I imagine I can buy from europe a replacement, oem or oem-lookalike, although it might get snapped in shipping plus shipping costs a lot. Is that my only option other than bending over for an australian parts price?

    thanks

There are a few different aftermarket ones available from Superskoda:

    Facelift 09+ : superskoda.com

I haven't bought from them, but plenty of people around here have - mixed reports about service and shipping.

Edit: hmm, looking a bit more closely, maybe they only have one product available for lower grille.

After many previous hassles, I just bought the hex grille from superskoda.

It has finally arrived, and it is ok. The quality is not as good as the lower part of the bumper style from factory, but in isolation it looks fine, esp considering the lower cost...

So I guess that their other lower bumper parts may be the best option for you also?

I guess that is what I'll do then.
so they packed it well enough?

How much is a genuine one? - my experience is you can't import one of these (genuine) for the local price.

Pleasantly surprised, a genuine one from Skoda is $51 ..

of course it is $16 in europe:
