    Octavia wagon size

I am new here and am thinking of purchasing a Octavia wagon.
I need to carry a mobility scooter but need to use a loading lift but before I purchase I need to know the distance from the inside of the tailgate to the back of the back seats and also the load height from the floor to the roof.
What I am looking at is a Joey VSL4000 lift.
If it won't fit I will need to get a more expensive VW Caddy Comfortline.

    Thank you in advance

    u talking mk2 or mk3?

with the mk2 - its 1064 mm from inside tailgate to back of seats. pic below shows sedan, but wagon has same boot floor length. obviously with the wagon u'll get more space up top.

i'm not sure wat the mk3 measures.

I had a look at the Joey lift and all the images show it applied to a much larger (higher) rear opening than the Octavia wagon and even then it looks fairly tight.

The problem is that the Octavia wagon has a sloping sportback style that sacrifices some internal capacity and while there is reasonable height from floor to ceiling inside the boot area there is a fair entrance lip to negotiate and then a drop of near 100mm to the boot floor

I think the caddy is probably the better option for your requirements.

Probably also need the height of the opening. What about that the rear hatch slopes forward? The rear seats slope back of course, so while you get a certain measurement at floor level, 300mm up that measurement will be shorter.

Thank you all for the replies.
I knew that the sedans and hatches had a rear lip but I thought that the wagons would have had a flat floor to the back the same as the Caddy and all other wagons that I know of.

I don't know if they offer it, but the reason we have a lip and a drop is because you can get a false floor of sorts that noone in Oz seems to get. So while it's true that the floor isn't flat you can get a false floor. It used to be an option from the dealers years ago, I haven't ever asked about it with the current car.
