Parking is cheap and so is the food. Yummy too, although it's difficult getting a home, unless you are rich and can go private Lousy weather as well...

Back to the topic title - it was great to see your VRS up close and personal yesterday morning!
Bargain options compared to VW, so it's no wonder that some GTI or Jetta buyers would find value in an Octavia, if it fits their needs.
However the Jetta's massive boot suited me best at the time of purchase, so that we could fit tons of luggage into the boot!

I could be nuts, but at the time I got the RS a few years back, the boot size in the Jetta was smaller due to being lower in height, and with the smaller sedan boot opening compared to a hatch of the Octy, it was the better choice for me lugging lots of stuff around.
When I hired a Jetta a few months back we also had issues fitting the same luggage from our Octavia into the Jetta (we hired an Octavia but Europcar substituted it).

Oh of course and as we were driving down to Phillip Island on Friday in a new Falcon sitting in a line of traffic not able to go any faster or slower than the flow I was in the back seat watching the average fuel consumption gauge showing 11.3L/100km and trying to figure out what advantage the car had over my Octavia, then I realised - two cup holders in the rear armrest!
