i don't see how a traditional manual handbrake makes a car "look inferior" to one with an electric handbrake.
Plus in most markets Skoda owners tend to be a bit more conservative than VW, Audi and especially Seat owners.

I kind of like the idea of not having to rely on a computer or something if it was the only way to stop my car in an emergency.

Yes but removing the handbrake in an Audi, stops the stupid handbrake hitting the armrest design fault they have had for the last 12 years. Much easier to take away the manual handbrake than redesign an armrest.....

For those of you not familiar. Lift arm rest push all the way down to its lowest level. Lift hand brake, it hits and lifts the arm rest 3/4" but also up one ratchet point. Put handbrake back down (release handbrake) and attempt to push armrest down, you cant, so have to lift all the way up and push all the way down again.

    Same issue in 2001 A4, as 2009 A3.

My skoda doesnt have the handbrake hit the armrest, so which is better specced?

As much as I hate to say it, I actually prefer the look of the new sedan over the wagon (RS).

I do like the wagon. Although I'm not sure if I like it a whole lot more than the current model. Seems very 1980s straight line, edgy styling.

Will be interested to see where the pricing ends up once it lands it OZ.

Although we'll be sticking with the one we have for a few more years yet.

Prefer the wagon in the current model too.

not that i'm being biased, but i prefer the hatch after seeing that video.

that new RS front bumper is crying out for DRLs, similar to those in the current mk2 RS.
