My CCZ used to use a hell of a lot of oil also. Only when they used whatever the dealer oil is.
after finding some shonky work done to my car, skoda will never touch it again.
Back to the oil problems, I changed brand. Now I top up twice a year with around 1L each time.
I use a heavier weight oil - VW approved 5w40 - instead of the dealer supplied 5w30. I find it stays below 130degrees under high load (track days) and doesn't go a horrible thick black colour within 1000km. generally stays a very dark honey colour.

Is your Superb petrol or diesel? Diesels will generally discolour oil quickly but its not a reason to be concerned. I have Hyundai and Holden diesels in the family and they all do it but it has no effect. The oils are designed to hold the materials in suspension so it drains with the oil.
2012.1 Skoda Octavia VRS DSG Wagon - Carbonio cold air intake and pipe - HPA Motorsports BBK 355mm rotors 6 pot calipers
APR Stage II ECU - APR 3" exhaust down pipe & high flow catalyst

Supaloy lower control arms - Enkei 18*8 Wheels
Not relevant to us, we don't have diesel engines. 502/505 is enough for our engines.
Quick update: It looks like they might be replacing the block on ours!? Just waiting on the confirmation from the dealer. He said 'they're replacing the engine' which I got him to clarify and he said a whole new block.
Skoda Octavia v/RS - 2012 Petrol 6MT
wow, that's good outcome. but did they mention why they are doing that?
Interesting - for me at least.
My petrol 2007 vRS is using a lot of oil I have noticed.
Maybe a litre every 1500kms?
using VW approved oil.
Would anyone else recommend using 5-40 such as Penrite Enviro ?
I had assumed my PCV had been replaced but I'm not certain - would this be a sensible step to take?
Not burning any oil that I have ever seen, nor dropping ANY when parked.
Id be interested in anyone else's experience or suggestions. Thanks
Try some 502.00 spec 5w-40. It can't hurt.
