I'll take the 110tdi manual with tech pack thanks. Tech pack is worth it just for the xenons.
Those RRP prices look better than what I was told but lets see what drive-away prices comes out at.
I still think the 110TDI Manual is going to be a great car, price leader or not, it will handle well, can tow a heap and will be very capable.
cheers

Its hard to compare features and spec. Here are the cheapest AWD diesel models of competitors (some of them have laughable rear space compared to the Scout though). The 110TDI is a real winner. Again weird there is not a base DSG. That said, the TDI Premium looks ok against the premium versions but some offer features that require the tech pack.
Approx Driveaway Prices

The 110TDI manual would be fine for a lot of people, though I'd get the tech pack too I reckon. The existing 103 TDI is ok for normal use and with the ECU flashed is RS like for power/torque. For those only looking to spend 'normal' money on a car a good option for Skoda to offer - should bring in a lot of new buyers.

Would like a magazine or web site to do a comparison of the Diesel CX5 AWD and the Scout 135TDI on a track to see if there is much difference in the lap times.
The CX5 is a bit up on power/torque but I would expect the significantly higher COG would have a marked adverse effect......or not?
When CarPoint did a comparison of 'warm' hatches which included acceleration and lap times, the Mazda 3's 'renown' handling did not really result in any markedly better times than the other cars. No VAG cars were included in the test.

Gerrycan - why do laptimes matter - LOL. Buy an RS?
According to the configurator, a fully optioned Scout TDI136 comes out at $51,780 while a fully optioned RS (not including the Black Pack) comes out at $51,820.
I still don't know which one I want - I was hoping a big difference in price would help!
