though, not all have the same intensity. mine for example is not noticeable unless u listen out for it. even the techo could not hear it.
the noise it usually makes is quite loud. as someone else here described, "like dragging a metal cage behind the car"!!!
as for the vw supplying the clip & installing it under warranty - from wat i've noticed, less than 3% have actually had the clip delivered and installed. the rest have been waiting for weeks upon weeks, with no eta in sight. its ridiculous how vw aus is treating this.
because it does not damage/hamper/fault the engine in anyway, its not recall, nor is it of any urgency for them.
u can try ur luck with getting urs put in under warranty. with mine, skoda aus refused the warranty stating the tpi did not apply to skoda vehicles. my dealer, out of goodwill, got my car looked by the vw techos. no luck with them either - "its not a vw".
they (vw/skoda aus) fix things based on the badge of the car, not by the actual parts in the car, which belong to the same parent company.
.. damn it's hard to find things on google nowadays because this is too much information !
