I sometimes give a bit of a wave, usually only if it's an RS, more likely to be an 'enthusiast'! I get the occasional acknowledgement but just as often a look of 'who the hell are you?'!

I remember back many years ago when I started riding motorbikes, I'd get a full on wave from just about every other bike rider I passed, this was gradually replaced over the years with a nod - fair enough, I've made the mistake of lifting the hand for a wave at 120 km/h... Now it's virtually nothing... Sad really.

I saw the white wagon again yesterday at darra roundabout.
Agree with you about the bike part, I ride all the time and nod when possible, but lots of newer riders don't nod back.

No wave on bikes anymore? Not even among the Bimmer brigade?

How sad. I had to stop riding in '98 and enjoyed the cameradery of biking. I had a circa-1990 R80 with S fairing and hard bags that I commuted on and a circa 1980 R80ST that the previous owner had half converted into a GS. I wish I still had the ST, it was a rocketship.

So a little wave to the women drivers would be nice too

Pretty much. It's almost rare enough to say it doesn't happen, even amongst fellow BM riders. It does improve a bit though once you get away from the major centres. That's the way society has gone I suppose.

    I'll consider myself told.

I only know of 1 woman that is into cars (and it's not that I don't know many women - was Mr Mom for a while & made heaps of friends at playgroup). She has an Alfa Giulietta quattroverde.

I saw a silver hatch back driving along Milton rd this morning. Appears to have 18" golus rims. Didn't see inside of it was elegance spec or not. They are difficult to tell every model apart (except for vrs)

Yesterday I spotted a race blue (non RS) wagon parked outside a house on our way home from the park. Did a u'e and drove past again for another look. My 3 yo son wanted to know what I was doing. *facepalm*

Saw hatch RS... From the rear... Not as good as the wagon...

Agreed but from the side it is better than the wagon. Has a far more interesting rear door shape and cleaner glass lines.
