Yep wagon space is nuts. Luggage for 4 adults including shopping we did locally before heading to the beach. Also 2 full size acoustic guitars all in the boot nothing over seat height still got the blind over. That was for the Australia day weekend.

Melbourne to Sydney today. 9 hours driving, 9 hours 45 mins all up with a couple of stops. Over 900km, averaged 100kmh and 6.9L/100km with AC on, 4 people and bags on board. Door to door.

So much more comfortable, less draconian driving once you cross into NSW.

Did the opposite last week for the airshow, though we took my bros K04 GTI instead of my RS. Averaged 7.5l though it only took us 8hrs. Was pegged on the limit throughout vic though, no idea where the cameras were haha. Roads are nicer in VIC but thats getting OT.

Nice. Was that calculated or T/C? T/C has been about 0.3 optimistic so far for mine.

During my first 1000kms, there were two separate occassions where when stopped at the lights it was difficult to shift to first when stopped, I had to try a few times. Since then, I have noticed shift action is improved and much easier to shift especially once warm.

Anyways, here is a photo after I detailed it using Prima range of car products. Leaves very slick paint, crazy reflections and about 4-6 months protection, highly recommended.

    That looks awesome mazstar1980!
I am really interested in getting this same look with my Race Blue RS which is coming.

    1. What is the exact process you did with yours to get this result?
    2. Did you cut it first?
    3. What other products did you use?
    4. Is this the Prima 'Epic'?

    Thanks

The gearchange issue will almost certainly improve and probably disappear as the car loosens up but an old trick to beat a sticky 1st gear change is to go from 2nd into 1st not Neutral into 1st. (When stopped of course!).

From a STOP and if the car has been parked over night or in getting into the car after work, I often go into 3rd then 1st or 3rd then Reverse.

I do not have a scientific or mechanical reason for doing so, but that's what dad told me when I was learning to drive and I can't recall ever having experienced any noticeable notchy changes.

If someone has an explanation for why this works, do enlighten.
