Yeah I know, just saying we all do it.
Bloody hell, I have to wait a few days now to finalise loan, because they won't finalise without an invoice, but I can't get an invoice until the car is delivered to the dealer.

I think this last two week wait is the worst part....

The clutch squeal only happens during gear changes and used to happen on mine when it got hot. Because there is a TP for the Golf MK7 it must be happening a bit.

Quick question for RS owners - are you filling with 95 or 98 RON?

I saw a thread on Briskoda and there doesn't seem to be a consensus, although the manual seems to suggest that 98 could be beneficial. I was quite surprised to see the min. RON was 95 on the label, not 98 like a previous TSI I'd driven.

98 - don't want to risk anything less as it's performance engine...

98ron in the old version TSI. I worked out that at 20,000km/pa it's only a $300/pa extra and the engie gets more torque & better fuel economy

What does the label look like?

Guys need to pick your brain, the EPC and engine light on my RS has comes out in the morning.

So I was driving towards the city on the freeway following the traffic when all of a sudden the EPC light came on (solid) follow by flashing CEL. I was in 3rd gear, whenever I pressed the accelerator, the car shuddered and unable to pick up speed. Stayed like this for a minute or so, luckily traffic was slow. I changed to left lane anticipating full break down, as the car swap to 2nd gear, acceleration was back to normal, no shuddering at all gears, by this time the CEL has switch off as well, EPC remain solid. Reached the car park without any drama, restart the car and EPC has switch off. Any ideas??

I did notice that since I bought the car the engine seems to vibrate a little bit more than I anticipated during idle. Whenever I press and let go the throttle quickly the engine feels like it's going to stall. I mentioned this during the first service, they note it down but didn't investigate further, they just flash an update. Could this be related?

I always fill the car with 98RON.

The price variation between 95 and 98 octane fuel is consistently 6 cents here in SA, so your difference pa should be closer to $100 than $300 (17 cents difference between 91 and 98 Octane would be circa $300)
