No gas struts is a strange one, it makes sense for the lower spec Octavias, but the RS and Elegance and Scouts should all come with it. Something to ask dealers about. It hasn't bothered me that much, but even a base model Mazda 6 has had them all along.
Has the bonnet release lever moved to the passenger side? Or rather did they not bother to move it in RHD Octys in the Mk3. It is on the right in the Mk2.

Didn't bother for rhd on the mk3. Just like the hand brake.
Lots of little cost savings = substantially cheaper car to make, hence why it has so much kit for the price.

In looking at this a bit more the MY16 updates for the RS appear very minor (some new functionality for the Columbus unit) so don't want to create any reason for a delay that may be lot more hassle than it worth.
Actually quite surprised I got the build date so early based on the delays noted by many - I ordered in late February so it appears maybe Skoda has ramped up their production as reported.
So would it be reasonable to assume around 8-10 weeks to delivery in Australia after the build?

I found my first dislike. The drink holders in the center console don't fit my or my kids drink bottles.Hopefully pic shows how it's not sitting inside. Didn't have this issue with my Golf.
Anyone have any suggestions for alternative options?
Surely this topic deserves it's own thread!Too hard to grab when driving and child wants a drink. The back door ones hold nothing!
