What is everyone using for a sun shield for the front windscreen? I found some generic "fits all" screens but is there anything special I should be looking at?

    Anyone notice issues on idle?
When cold (After sitting over night) it runs a bit rough, once I thought it was going to stall but it recovered itself.
If I give it some revs its happy but when they drop back down it splutters a few times before leveling out.

It gets better after it is warm but I can still feel it when sitting at lights. Not as bad just small jutters.

I have <1000KMs on it so I was wondering if the engine is just working its way in but I mean, it just seems strange its like the injectors are not giving it enough fuel.

I am going to bring it up with the dealer but thought I would check if anyone else is having issues.

Unrelated - Front speakers in the tops of the doors and center of the dash (canton unit) Anyone having issues with buzzing type vibrations, specifically on voice when they are talking on the radio.

Engine still tight & ECU still learning (it actually adjusts the individual firing of each cylinder to improve idle). 1000km isn't even 2 tanks of fuel. It takes about 5000km to get the initial run-in and 10,000-15,000km afterwards will give gradual improvements.

Suggest you get out there and make several brisk ascents up Black Mountain. It will help.

    Opie:

I have exactly the same issue. I posted on the exhaust thread Exhaust Thread page 5

I have done almost 15000 km on the car, still the same thing, no changes on the idle and jutters whilst sitting in the traffic. Does yours get better after switching on the A/c? Mine does.

I had a misfire once on cylinder 3 whilst driving on the highway, fixed itself right away, not sure if it's related or not.

It believe it has to do with emissions / cold start. Lots of (European) cars do this and I am lead to believe it is normal/acceptable. My old Clio Sport RS172 used to do this and as do current RS Meganes so I wouldn't worry about it.

Re: buzzing .. this is a technical fix which has worked for me .. bang it with your palm until buzzing disappears .. if that doesn't work, try some silicone spray (WD-40 brand from bunnings).

FYI - For anyone needing to replace any rear light bulbs please note that the torx screwdriver supplied may not fit the torx screws that hold the tail lamp assembly in (page 261 for the Estate in the owners manual). The two ended screwdriver supplied in the spare wheel well is just slightly too big to fit into the screws. After much swearing and trying to resort to a flat head screwdriver I gave up...

Ended up buying an assortment of torx screwdrivers from Bunnings today and confirmed that a T15 torx head is needed for this.

While I agree a solid run in will help for sure, I think this is a legitimate issue. Gerrycan also noted this issue on his car.

My car (with only ~2400k's) is smooth as silk on cold start. No coughs, lumps or shuddering. Although cold start in qld summer is >20 deg C. The engine is so smooth/quiet, its hard to tell its running most of the time, especially at cruise or idle.
