What's the RS rated to use? If it's 98 then that would be logical to use. The MKII RS's were all 98.

Looks like its something we don't get in OZ. OS it has a phone symbol inside the compartment like this one.

I can start with a question about the PhoneBox. Its the compartment with a sliding cover sitting in front of the gearstick. Some (or all) of these have a feature which boosts signal strength for your phone. How do I knew whether or not mine has this feature?

Great thread. If only I had mine I could comment !

IIRC, you have to be able to decipher VW heiroglyphics, so if the fuel flap has a big 98 and a small 95 then it means run 98 if possible but you can fall back to 95 if you have to.

being tight-arse Aussies who love to run everything on 92, they see the 95 as being the default

TBH i'm fine paying for 98, as long as the engine runs fine with it. As a last resort 95 would have to do if no gas anywhere to fill up!!

But i'm happy we don't get de-tuned versions of cars that can run on 95 to save some monies.... so Happy with 98 as I know the GTI/RS/R VAG models have the performance engine! It'll be like putting normal oil in the car rather then performance oil!

I wouldn't bother with digital radio, reception is so bad. If there is a station you like you can always run it via your phone and Bluetooth/cable.

They are too bright to my liking but many people love them. I must admit that they help with reversing in the dark lol
