" while optional adaptive full-LED tech also features. " - optional?
" all Octavia vRS' are available with Dynamic Chassis Control offering Sport, Normal and Comfort modes for the suspension and controls." - optional?
"The 15 mm lower sports suspension and the rear track, 30 mm wider than the predecessor, as well as the red brake callipers underline the dynamic character of the new ŠKODA OCTAVIA RS. 17-inch wheels are available as standard, while 18- or 19-inch wheels are available as an option. "
That suggests that the RS ride height is 15mm lower than the standard facelifted Octavia. It's just the rear track that differs.

MY16 Octavia VRS Wagon, DSG, Race blue, Tech pack, Comfort pack, Black Pack, 19's, Sunroof, Electric Tailgate
Airbox mod, VW Racing Filter, TMD, Elbow, Ramair Pipe, GFB DV+, VCDS mods, Superpro adjustable rear sway bar, Superpro end links, Whiteline front sway bar links, Whiteline LCA bush Kit, Bilstein B14 coilovers, HPA dog bone mount & arm, 42DD oil catch can, Burger wheel spacers, CTS downpipe 200 cel cat, 2,5" exhaust , twin out. Super Skoda eyelids & front splitter, Tuned by BPS 228kw atw, Dsg tune,
Full LED lights are the replacement for the HID lights - I'll hazard a guess that (as like now) the only Octavia's to get halogen headlights will be the base Ambition and the base Scout - every other Octavia (inc. vRS) will get the Bi-LED w/ AFS.
Current vRS is 15mm lower than "standard" Octavia; current vRS also features Independant Rear Suspension whereas the "standard" models don't. Perhaps rear track increase is to do with IRS?
We won't get 17's; only silver and black 18's and black 19's. Again, only guessing but that would make sense.
The jury is still out on whether or not we will get the trailer assist, here.
DCC will definitely be optional - probably part of the Tech Pack (like on the Superb)

I have seen a green one in Melbourne. Late nov it was. Not sure if it was the second one you speak of or that one on a drive. I actually thought it was a hatch that I seen but may be wrong.
Octavia is now in runout. 5 yr warranty and 3 yrs free servicing thrown in until end of March.
They have plenty of vrs DSG wagons, White or silver, in stock if that's your thing
Someone at Skoda australia needs to look at who does stock control. 3 alloy wheel choices, 2 body types, 2 transmisions, 2 option packs and a sunroof, Auto boot, and 7 colours.
Every car ends up being to order or the dealer ends up with a stock car no one wants.
How much of price increase are the cars now for the above extras? And how much would it really cost skoda aus?
I'm ringing my dealer today asking how do I get in this lol
Ordered some indicator covers from NZ plus some genuine touch up paint. If your ordering the covers put down 2 as it's not a set apparently. Says 2 items at the top but one down below. Will need to order one more.
