I recently took advantage of the 1% finance offer to pick up an mY16 Octavia, base model (yes, I know) with manual in that gorgeous blue colour, and the Bolero radio.

So far I love the car. Drives beautifully, lots of space etc etc. Yes, a few more goodies would have been nice, but circumstances at the time were such that the base model was it.

One thing I've noticed that is a bit confusing is the Skoda radio update site. I entered my VIN, and it informed me that I have a Swing radio. I don't - its definitely the Bolero (albeit without the CarPlay/mirrorlink/android auto functionality).

If I want to update the firmware on my radio, assuming there are any updates, that is, how do I go about that without the VIN and radio matching?
