Absolutely agree there - Pennant Hills is worth going to. We test drove a Superb 125TDI there on the weekend and their customer service was excellent (far better than Subaru at Hornsby - not happy with that lot at all ) I've been there a couple of times to have a look around, and Milan the sales manager has always been helpful - wasn't fussed that we were test driving, and would be leasing, not actually purchasing. Would highly recommend them. The Audi dealership next door is excellent as well - we also test drove an A4 1.8T on the weekend. If I were replacing my car today it would be from Alto.

I don't know what people expect when they buy new cars.

But I have bought probably 6 or so over the last 4 years, and it's pretty much the same routine wherever you go.

Look at car, decide to buy, shuffled off to paint protection idiot, then finance, wait, pick up car with run down of features, drive off.

I would call myself an educated buyer, I have normally always done my homework beforehand, and almost without fail uneducated salesman would be my biggest gripe, but I find this more amusing than a put off.

Drove a Skoda superb last week, salesman nice guy but he was a newsagent 3 weeks ago, the Golf I bought at Xmas the salesman was from Kenya, nice guy but no knowledge, ford g6e I looked at last year salesman told me there was 13 differences between it and the non turbo "oh ok, what are they?" .....ummm I don't know....the turbo? Haha funny stuff but frustrating I guess.

No, I expect nothing when I buy a car, I don't want to be pampered, I just want to know what he's got how quick he can get it and how much.....get in get what I want get out.....much like the rest of my shopping really

I concur.... I just want a test drive and a good change over price without having to battle with a salesman for 2-4hrs. And I don't want to have to deal with the bloody Ming Mole before placing my deposit.

When I pick it up I want to clean, functioning and a fuel tank of fuel.

I've taken to declaring a deal only if they don't try to upsell me. Works well.
